At the awards nite on Saturday, Rahman was adjudged the best music composer.
Speaking after receiving the award, Rahman, said, 'said, 'I thank the crew of Rockstar, including Mohit Chauhan and Ranbir Kapoor, for their cooperation.
Thanks to Javed Akhtar, we can all have our rights to our music now that the Copyright Act has been amended.'
Interestingly Ranbir Kapoor who played the lead role in the film was adjudged the best actor.
