Nandagi who played a prominent part in Aval peyar Thamizharasi, has now changed her name as Manumika. The actress says for better fortunes I have chosen to rechristen myself'.

Nandagi aka Manumika says, ' the name has been changed as per numerology. I have completed shooting for Thandavakone. Iam currently shooting for Oru Murai Parthen. Then I have a movie titled Koothu with director Padma Magan. I am confident that this year will bring me better fortunes.'

I want to do not just rustic rural belle roles, but also bubbly urban girls, she adds.
