Here is Varadaraja Pai who is having turnover of Rs.5 crores turn over from the pickle industry he started with the super hit film of Dr Vishnuvardhana using his photograph in the pickle packet.
Varadaraja Pai at the age of 18 took over the father business of ‘Badam Powder’. He prepared special sugar less Badam Powder and sent it to his screen god Dr Vishnuvardhana and when ‘Yajamana’ film came in 2000 Pai became very close to Dr Vishnvardhana. In the film ‘Yajamana’ Dr Vishnuvardhana runs a pickle industry for self reliance. This is what Pai followed for his professional life. He went to the house of Dr Vishnuvardhana and explained his intentions of starting pickle industry using his photograph on the cover of the packet. Dr Vishnuvardhana approved by giving a letter and then he advised the bachelor Varadarja Pai to get married in life. Pai married on the advice of Dr Vishnuvardhana and for the daughter he has named as ‘Vishnupriya’.
In the last eight years Sri Lakshmi Venkataramana Yajamana Industries is flourishing in the business. Varadaraja Pai was present on Friday evening on an invitation of journalist Ganesh Kasargod as a column on his was written long ago.
