Vimal's Ishtam ready for release

Director Prem Nissar has completed shooting for Ishtam, a remake of Telugu hit Yemaindi Ee Vela. Produced by Balaji Real Media, the movie stars Vimal and Nisha Agarwal in the lead roles.

Vimal, who has so far played rustic characters in village-based films, is getting an image makeover with the movie. Nisha is the younger sister of Kajal Aggarwal and she will be reprising her role from the original.

Ishtam marks her debut in the Tamil film industry.

The film also stars Santhanam, Anoop and Parvathy. Prem Nissar had worked with Chakri Toleti and Raj Kapoor earlier.

'I have highlighted the consequences of probelms a rural youth face in city and tried to provide solutions to various problems concerning youth in Ishtam,' says Prem Nizar.

The music is composed by Thaman S.
