Story:
Veer Pratap Singh (Tusshar Kapoor) loves Chandni (Kulraj Randhawa). He belongs to the royal family of Khemgarh (near Jodhpur, Rajasthan) and his father His Highness C V Singh (Anupam Kher) would never agree to marry him to a non-Rajput. Veer’s sister is getting married and he gets Chandni home. He introduced her as a journalist from London who has come to cover the royal wedding. The entire film then revolves around hiding Chandni’s identity from the family and amidst that Veer’s three elder brothers Prithve (Chandrachur Singh), Udaybhan (Mukul Dev) and Yashwant (Sushant Singh) fall for Chandni and want to marry her.
Analysis:
As already said, the film is a mindless comedy and requires you to keep logic miles away from you. It juxtaposes old legendary dialogues from movies like ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, ‘Kalicharan’ and more with old songs like ‘Chandni O Meri Chandni’ and ‘Hum Tum Chori Se’ with rarely some new punches and dialogues. And that guessing game makes the film a little interesting. Otherwise, it is a khichadi of emotions, drama, romance and all the comic elements that one can think of, also a scene reminding you of the climax of ‘Hera Pheri’. In short, it is a mixture of all the comedy Hindi films that you have seen by far.
Performances:
Tusshar Kapoor slightly overacts in the first half but that works for him in the part that he plays Pappi Sardar which had to be OTT. Kulraj looks beautiful and acts well too. She is a refreshing watch. Anupam Kher steals the show with his royal performance. Om Puri could have been used in a better manner. The three brothers too are wasted as all of them are extremely talented actors. The lady who plays Tusshar’s mom is elegant. Farida Jalal is decent too.
Technicalities:
The film seems a little clichéd, stretched and repetitive. You have a déjà vu feeling throughout. Samir Karnik manages to take care of intricate details but fails to showcase anything new. The background score is too loud. The Chandni remix in the film fails to impress, however the one that comes in the end with RDB is a good one. Kangna song is one of the best parts of the film. Cinematography could have been slightly better considering the set-up is of a royal family and a royal wedding. Screenplay too is repetitive.

Minus Points: Repetitive and clichéd humour
