The new version of Maro Charitra has a new version of its music too. Three songs by Acharya Athreya, including one by Veturi have been re-used. While Mickey is good in the case of at least three songs, he comes a cropper in the case of the other two. Premaney Perey and Yeteega Puvuno being the best from the album, it is not without surprises. For the first time, rather, Mickey asks his singers to employ new voices.

Swetha Pandit and Karthik are the prime singers, while Ranjith and Smitha, and Srimathurima join with Varun Sandesh and Swetha for two of the numbers.

Premaney Perey....

Rendered by Karthik, the song makes a good listen. Seeming a situational song, it comes along as a peppy duet. The ringing voice and the lyrics merit attention. Vanamali has given an impressive output in the song.

Yeteega Puvuno....

Beginning with an excellent music, the song goes about giving a distinct touch to the old melody of the same name. Here Swetha Pandit's voice hints at a touch of melancholy, but over all it quite seems a soothing melody. You wonder if it is another situational song that comes at the right time in the film. Mickey employs his instruments to the best effect. Acharya Athreya's lyrics are put to best use.

Bale Bale Mogadivoy....

It seems a poor remix version of MS Viswanathan's iconic song. Mickey is not qite at his elements, so also Swetha Pandit's voice that sounds eerie. The music, which seems a mockery of the original spirit of the song, is a huge let down. Acharya and Veturi's lyrics suffer in the proceedings. The lusty appeal of the song is buried, for once.

Ninnu Nannu....

Swetha repeats her Bala Bale Mogadivoy performance, but here it seems to fit in. Probably, the intention of the musician is to suit the heroine's age in the film. Suddenly, the voice assumes a sense of age. A melody, Mickey's instruments are subdued. Vanamali's lyrics suffer toward the end.

We Don't Care....

A hip-hop kinda song, We Don't Care again uses twisted voices of Ranjith and Smitha. Krishna Chaitanya's lyrics are pretty ordinary. Music is run-of-the-mill and there is no repeat value in its case.

Ye Teega Puvvuno (Theme)....

Mickey is at his best in using the best instruments. Karthik's voice makes it more interesting. More or less the same as the other version in the album, the theme has a greater musical feel.
