Story:
Suhani (Priyamani) is a modern yet traditional girl. She completes MBA and is in search of a job. She’s timid woman, and there’s a reason for that. As series of shocking incidents in her past makes her feel so. One night, Suhani finds Krishna Prasad (Tanikella Bharani) injured in car accident and she saves him. In return, Krishna Prasad gives Suhani a revolver (expressing gratitude for her favor) and compels her to take revenge on her old enemies.
Suhani first attempts to kill her former best friend Anitha (Keerthi Chawla) but fails. Later, she tries killing her lover Sandeep (Jagapathi) and fails. Her journey of how she took revenge shapes the rest of the story.
Analysis:
First up, I did not understand what the director Karthikeya Gopalakrishna is trying to convey. I think he was simply relying on Jagapathi Babu and Priyamani’s on-screen chemistry rather the script.
I don’t know for how many films this director has worked earlier, but boy, he should have had some common sense in making such a film. I pity the producer for lack of knowledge in investing in such a horrible movie.
Few interesting questions I would like to pose on ‘Saadhyam’ being the way Priyamani was shown. In songs, she looks hot and romantic, but during the talkie part, her role was sympathetic. Now how on earth can that happen? And how come CBI officer like Jagapathi Babu employ silly tricks to deceive Priyamani? It’s purely cinematic.
I thought the opening song might have some sense when I heard that number, but the director miserably failed during visualization. The movie starts on a negative note and lost its way, half way through. And how come Jagapathi Babu come back alive after being ruthlessly smacked and assaulted. It looks like a scene that has been kept for the sake of audience and hero.
Also, after interval, I was wondering about few scenes links. There are completely missing. Karthikeya Gopalakrishna totally lacks clarity on the script. The old flash back episodes cannot work now.
Performances:
Jagapathi Babu should have chosen a better movie than this. May be he was trying to go different from regular movies. His age is clearly seen on his face, and at times, he has put up too much make up.
And for Priyamani, please do not do such films, even for charity. I cannot see any performance from Priyamani in this film, except her hot body structure. The makers are making use of your physique. Although, she did her level best to show her prowess, this is not the subject that suits her.
There’ no music feel, and nothing can save you from the film. Director Karthikeya Gopalakrishna, an opportunity has gone begging. I watched the film in a multiplex theatre; else, I would have ran away after interval. God save the film!
