Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma’s latest movie Department is going to be released in February, 2012. The makers of the film are planning to wrap the shooting formalities by November. The makers of the film have revealed the details of the casting, story of the film today.

The film showcases the relationship between under world organizations and police department.

Amitabh Bachchan: plays the role of a politician turned ex-criminal.

Sanjay Dutt: plays the role of a sincere cop who wants to destroy under world mafia.

Abhimanyu Singh: plays the role of a cruel criminal.

Vijay Raj: plays the role of an escaped mafia don from police custody.

Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna: plays the role of Sanjay Dutt’s wife.

Madhu Shalini: plays the role of a female gangster.

Rana Daggubati: plays the role of a cop who is a sub-ordinate to Sanjay Dutt.
