Bodyguard Movie Music Review

Team: Salman Khan and Himesh Reshammiya was a lethal combination before they parted ways few years back. Salman’s whichever film’s music that was composed by Himesh ruled the charts for a long time. And hence the expectation from this film was quite high as it was Salman who had replaced Pritam by Himesh to compose music of the film.

Tracks:

The title track ‘Bodyguard’ composed by Himesh has Salman hitting the chords as he has sung for the song himself. However despite of this lethal combination the song falls flat on expectations. The song seems heavily inspired by the south Indian track ‘Ringa Ringa’ and ‘Dhinka Chika’. Despite of the striking similarity between the tunes the song isn’t up to the standard of the above mentioned song. Still the Salman factor will entertain you. The album of Bodyguard also has the remix version of this track.

‘I Love You’
Singers: Pritam Ash King, Clinton Cerejo
Lyricist: Neelesh Misra

‘I Love You’ the soothing and romantic song of the film is gaining popularity with each passing day and is quite melodious to its tune. The only song composed by Pritam is a favorite amongst youths. Sung beautifully by Ash King and Clinton Cerejo, the duo successfully brings out the innocence of love through their voice. The unplugged version of ‘I love you’ has Shaan instead of Ash King.

‘Desi beats’
Singers: Himesh Reshammiya, Mika Singh, Amrita Kak
Lyricist: Neelesh Misra

‘Desi beats’ can be called as an typical dance-sing tarck of the film and is a visual treat. Sung by powerhouse singers like Mika Singh and Amrita Kak, the song is energy filled and is peppy at the same time. The album has two remixed versions of the same song. While the one has same set of singers mentioned above, the other version that is Punjabi Hip-hop has Alam Gir Khan in Mika’s place whereas Amrita Kak remains unchanged.

‘Teri Meri’
Singers: Himesh Reshammiya,Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Shreya Ghoshal
Lyricist: Neelesh Misra

‘Teri Meri’ yet another love song of the film is a typical Rahet FAteh Ali Khan that has him crooning to the melody along with Shreya Ghoshal. The album has two remixed versions of it. One is reprise while the other is remix version of it.

Lyrics of all the songs are penned by Neelesh Misra who has done a decent job.
