The former actress of Kannada cinema turned producer of ‘Sri Nagashakthi’ Chandrika believes in the policy of getting back the losses from where she suffered.
‘Sri Nagashakthi’ a film he handed over for his mentor director Om Saiprakash to make it an interesting one failed miserably because the film did not do well in the box office. Actress Chandrika was in the role of ‘Snake God’ in the film but there were dozen well known artists in the film that spoke on the significance of ‘Snake God’.
Not able to come out from the nightmare of losses Chandrika is now on a reincarnation subject titled ‘Ondanondhu Kaladalli’.
The title ‘Ondanondhu Kaladalli’ is very familiar for the Kannada audience. A film with the same title was made in 1978. Dr Girish Karnad the Jnanapeeth award winner directed this film with AK Bir camera. A film on the medieval Karnataka, where there was no strong central rule and balkanized state was ruled by little greedy men. It
was also the period of martial arts. Shanker Nag won the best actor award at the international film festival held in New Delhi. Akshata Rao, Rekha, Sundarakrishna Urs, Sunder Raj and others were in the cast.
Now the title repeats for actress Chandrika production. The film is mounting the sets on 18th of this month.
